It takes work. Hard work.
Especially to get started. But once you get into the mindset of improvement then it starts to get fun and it starts to become worthwhile.
Itâs super easy to sit on your butt and watch TV and eat whatever the hell you want, while your fat cells get bigger and bigger and your triglycerides go up and up. It is easy but it actually takes more energy to do that then if you were to workout. Because your body wasnât meant to just sit around and watch TV, or play video games, or be inactive.
You need to be aware of your current situation.
By situation Iâm talking about your current state of LIFE.
Your life can be changed at any time, but again you have to be aware of your current situation.
Is this WHAT youâve always wanted for your life? Are you living your PRIME LIFE? Are you where you thought you would be at this stage in your life? Are you what you wanted to be when you dreamed as a kid? Â
Most kids dreams are a lot bigger then adults simply because they havenât lived life. And havenât been dragged down by people saying donât do that, donât do this: you canât do that, that takes workâ¦â¦â¦.. but you know whatâ¦â¦.. this is your LIFE, and regardless if you listened to people who said you shouldnât do this or that, you are in your current situation because of YOUâ¦.. nobody else.
Thatâs step 2. Blame yourself for everything.
Step 1: Be Aware of your current situation
You have made every decision up to now!
But you can change everything starting now.
Itâs simple do to but itâs not easy. Itâs hard. Itâs going to take hard work. And you might get some looks, or some talk from people trying to keep you from moving in the direction you want to move. In the direction of IMPROVEMENT.
To become an Improvement Warriorâ¦.. first my definition of an Improvement Warrior:
Making our future tomorrows the best they can be, by doing and changing the things we are aware about today.Â
You must become aware of your situation and you must take full responsibility as to WHY you are not WHERE you want to be.
More then likely you are going to need to gain some expertise, or hire a âcoach’. Hiring a coach doesnât mean itâs a physical coach; it could be that you , or an online coaching program, or a DVD, or you join a local group, or you join a mastermind, or you frequent a website with the information you are seeking, or you join an online workout program. Physical coaches would be you hire a personal trainer, or join group classes, or yoga, or you hire a life coach, join a networking group, etcâ¦â¦..
Sometimes it can be free and sometimes you have to pay. Usually the more you pay the better value you are going to get out of it. But free was how I turned my life around when I went to the Upper Arlington library and checked âThe Secretâ on audio CD. It started a path towards improvement.
Itâs ok not to know something, especially in the information age we live in now. Thereâs a lot of things people donât know about, but they still give their opinion on it regardless. Which can lead to people leading others with bad information.
I look at the nutrition field like that. For over 50 years youâve been told fat and cholesterol is bad for you; when in reality they are two of the most important substances for your body and health. It will take a while for everybody to come around on this, but there are many other fields that are like that.
To recap: 1. Be aware 2. Blame Yourself 3. Decide WHERE you want to be 4. Have an open mind.
You canât constantly improve if you think you know everything. Life is constant education. The moment you stop educating yourself is the moment you start your decline.
Education doesnât stop once you graduate from high school or college. It is a lifetime. Because you are on a path for personal mastery.
If you do not master yourself, then you do not master life. You will be a victim, rather then a volunteer; always blaming others (rule #2) for your situation and never taking responsibility that you can build whatever you want to build.
Donât put off making a decision, even if you donât know how you are going to do it.
The most successful people will jump off an airplane with no parachute and figure out how to make a parachute on the way down.
Thereâs obstacles at every corner. From this point on obstacles will not stop you. You run into one then you need to figure out how to get through it. Quitting is not the path of improvement, itâs the sitting on the couch and getting fatter. The majority of the US (3/4 of the population) is overweight. Donât be the majority. You have to be a minority. The minority is improvement. People who are not going to settle for life, but rather take life by the balls and attack it.
