• Persistent Mindset: [project: Dream Body- Part 3]

    We continue the why you are not where you want to be in terms of fitness, health, life and body with mindset.

    Improvement warrior fitness mind over matter

    This will be a multiple part one. And by the way is the second most important in terms of creating lasting and forever change.

    You probably thought it was going to be #1, or maybe you didn’t 🙂 But there is one that is more important then this…… we will get to that one very soon.

    But first on to mindset and the subcategory of: You don’t see yourself as successful.

    Negative messages bombard us everyday— both internal and external. Sometimes when we receive a good message we just brush it off because it isn’t normal with the 100’s- 1000’s of negative messages that we receive on a daily, and hourly basis.

    It can be set off by anything- a person, thing, past circumstance, the news, the weather, the traffic, a television program, a movie, a video, an article, a facebook post, a tweet, an instagram, a co-worker, a meeting, a computer or iphone app crashing, something taking longer then you expect, etc………

    The list goes on and on.

    Your situation is your situation. We are in the circumstances and life that we are in due to the choices you have made so far in life. And this will continue for the rest of your life. So it’s up to you to make the right choices and get into the right mindset about everything.

    The persistent person is the successful person.

    Because every successful person has failed in the past. But they kept on going and they kept on learning from their failures until they got it right.

    Every failure, attempted something, didn’t succeed— for a number of reasons and/or excuses— and hence quit. And that is the only time you will fail is if you quit.

    Think of the people who persisted in their life to succeed: Thomas Edison, Abraham Lincoln, Walt Disney, Oprah, Michael Jordan, Tony Robbins. There are millions other who you don’t know by names but they are successes because they persisted.

    The ones who quit you have no idea who they are. They could of changed the world with their ideas and leadership, but they were unable to persist. They quit. And when they left this earth they probably had a whole lot of regret. And that is the number 1 regret of people— NOT DOING THE THINGS THAT COULD OF CHANGED THEIR LIFE!

    Mindset has a lot to do with your ability to quit or persist.

    Turn off the news- never watch it again. Top stories: who got killed, who got raped, traffic sucks, this store got robbed, massive accident, this old lady was killed over a sandwich…… and it’s like that throughout the program…. probably because we like to hear about others suffering and bad news is interesting. Rarely if ever is there a positive story.

    Stop watching the news. Stop watching so much TV and especially commercials. Read positive things. Books, quotes, stories, etc…. Turn your car into AU- Automobile university. Download the app audible.com and listen to your positive books. The ones that have changed my life the most- The Secret, Psycho-Cybernetics, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, The Power, The Go-Giver, Unbeatable. Or download and listen to positive podcasts- the ones I listen to- School of Greatness, Kick Ass Life, Entreleadership, Paleo Solution…. there’s literally 100’s of awesome podcasts that can change your life.

    Finally I will end this one with seeing yourself successful. In order to change you have to CHANGE. You can’t talk about it, you have to just do it. Action. You don’t do the same things and expect different results. See yourself, carve out time to know what you want (coming next!!), and then visualize yourself as a different person.     Because I know this— you only get one life. One day at a time. But if you’re not living your dream life, it’s because you are not persisting through the things you need to persist through to reach your goals. If it’s important to you then you have to persist and you have to see yourself succeeding. If you fail, don’t beat yourself down. Re-plan, figure out WHY you failed and go after it again. Each time should bring you closer because now you know a little more this time.

    Eliminate the negative. Fill yourself with the positive and watch your life change.
