• Cholesterol – the Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

    My name is Jason Yun. If you wanna learn more about me, just go to www.jasonyunfitness.com. Yun is spelled as Y.U.N. With the name of the presentation, I know I’m the last person you probably want to be here but I’ve got a lot of information for you, hopefully you’ll enjoy it.

    Okay, so I wanna start out, I’m gonna be talking about something that you have basically been lied to for about over 50 years and you continue to be lied about it today. But I want to start out by saying, don’t believe me, don’t believe the word I say on this topic because the information is out there. It is readily accessible and I think by what you’re gonna learn today about this topic it’s gonna cause you to make and take some drastic actions. And that’s what we need – change. I’m not a conspiracy theorist. I am searching for the truth.

    I used to follow and preach what’s been taught today about this topic and it made me very sick and it’s making other people very sick and unhealthy and ultimately it’s ending in their death which does not need to happen. What I’m talking about today is cholesterol. We all taught to agree that cholesterol which includes high fat foods.


    Okay, lies, lies, lies and more lies! The lower your cholesterol is overall, the higher your mortality risk or the risk of dying from all diseases increases.

    Okay, so what is cholesterol? Cholesterol is an essential molecule. Without it there will be no life. It is so essential that every single one of your 60-100 train cells has the ability to synthesize cholesterol itself.

    Some benefits, the brain. Your brain contains 25% of your total cholesterol. 1/5 of your brain weight is actually cholesterol.

    The fat soluble vitamins, the digestion of them, Vitamins A, D, E and K won’t happen without cholesterol. Just remember, vitamins and minerals control your enzymes, enzymes control your hormones, hormones control you and it includes everything about you: weight loss, fat loss, how you perform, how you sleep, how you eat, everything about you but it starts with cholesterol.

    The sex hormones, testosterone and estrogen these need to be in balance in both men and women because if they’re not and if the estrogen is too high, that’s when bad things start to happen – breast cancer, colon cancer, body fat but again it starts with cholesterol. So what are the detriments to cholesterol, none. There are none. That’s one of the lies that have been told out there. Unless you have the wrong type of cholesterol which I will get into here in a bit.

    Total cholesterol is pretty much worthless number, okay. It’s like switching seats on the titanic. It doesn’t really matter. If you do have a doctor who recommends getting the total cholesterol test, I highly recommend finding in the doctor because they’re stuck that in this dogma here. So LdL, HdL this is the test that’s important to know, if you wanna know what your particles are.

    hdl-ldlWe all know LdL to be the bad cholesterol. We all know HdL to be the good cholesterol. Right. Not anymore, okay. Let me state forward, not anymore. There’s good LdL, there’s bad LdL, there’s good HdL, there’s bad HdL. That’s why it’s so important to know your particles so you can know if you’re healthy or if you need to start making life goals changes right now or if you need to start making funeral arrangements. Alright.

    With cholesterol, fat is tied in cholesterol. It’s usually tied in negatively, okay meaning we’re supposed to avoid it at most cases especially saturated fat. Saturated fat and DHA which is Omega 3 fatty acid fish oil are the two most important fats for your health, your body and your brain. All this talk about your brain because if you lose your mind, you’re basically going to die.

    Alzheimer’s disease is now a top ten killer in the United States. It is not a genetic disease, it is not an Old person disease, and it is a nutritional disease. We are referring Alzheimer’s disease as type 3 diabetes because basically when you, if when you get it your basically a dead man walking. And it sucks for your family too. My grandma had dementia. she wouldn’t let me into her house because she could not recognize me. Even though I showed her my license she’s still won’t let me in 🙂

    A conceptual look at Alzheimers disease, and some of the problems it brings.

    It doesn’t take one year, two years, 5 years, 10 years to get Alzheimer’s or dementia or any cognitive decline. It takes decades but it starts now. It starts with what you feed your kids in kindergarten, as teenagers, what you eat in your twenties, 30s, and 40s and beyond. They did a study showing 1 out of one hundred people who go through life without any cognitive decline so no brain decline at all, that’s because the majority of the people are eating in this sad diet which is the standard American diet so it’s high carb, low fat, low cholesterol.

    This is the reason why. The cholesterol lowering industry is a USD 29 billion industry. That’s 29 billion reasons to lie to you, you, you, your parents, and your grandparent, to lie to everybody. Statins – if you don’t know what statins are,  you see the commercials all the time. They lower, they actually, stop the production of cholesterol in your body and I think we’ve determined that it’s pretty important just in 5 minutes. If you actually know somebody who is on Statin diet, give them the resources, take a look at it, get them off at it as soon as possible because it’s truly killing people and it’s making them stupid.

    We need cholesterol. We don’t blame the firefighters for starting fires, right. That’s one of the cholesterol was getting thrown out of the bus and still is getting thrown out the bus today. The reason why we have all these sickness, all these diabetes cases, obesity, chronic diseases is because of inflammation. Inflammation opens us up to everything okay cholesterolincluding colds, flus and all that stuff. So how do we get inflammation, we get it from the foods that we eat. The toxins that we take in our body and the toxins we put on our body. So say, you eat some food that causes you to get inflamed. Your body’s gonna send the cholesterol in to do its job, it will send other anti oxidants as well. Cholesterol is also anti oxidant which will protect the body. It does its job. It protects, it fights, it heals whatever area it needs to heal and it moves on. The problem is, most people are eating carbs, carbohydrates breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.

    A high carbohydrate diet is high inflammation diet. So you basically could have mini civil wars going on in your body all day long. And the problem is if your cholesterol is too low or you have the wrong type of cholesterol, the bad type of cholesterol, you’re gonna run out and when you run out that’s when the chronic inflammation starts to happen. The chronic inflammation is when you get the big boys, the cancer, the diabetes, Alzheimer’s, auto immune diseases, all kinds of things. All right, that’s the stuff we want to avoid. We want to eat cholesterol, eat fat. You’ll be happy and that’s what matters.

      The subsequent time I read a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I mean, I know it was my choice to learn, however I truly thought youd have something interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you possibly can repair if you werent too busy searching for attention.
