Just thought I’d check in with how I’m doing this phase. I missed nearly two weeks of working out last phase (week 4 and transition week) due to a rough bout with respiratory illness. I knew it would be difficult coming back week 1- and it was! My first workout back, I felt like I was starting from scratch in terms of cardio and breathing. However, I was feeling up to speed by the end of the week. It’s not as hard to bounce back from illness as you think it is, once you’ve gotten into the routine.
Listen, working out still isn’t easy for me, but I am slowly but surely getting stronger and keeping off the weight I’ve lost so far. I still have a long way to go, but the #1 thing for me is making the F.L.O.s a part of my weekly schedule. Unless there is an absolutely legitimate reason I cannot be there, I.am.there. Whether I feel like it or not, I go. And every time I do, it’s a small victory and another step toward my weight and fitness goals. It’s hard work, but it’s honestly fun. We have a good time.
